🚲At Eco-Counter, we support cities in their transition towards the development of active transportation and help preserve the world's most beautiful natural areas!


Our aim? To provide managers of natural areas and towns with reliable data on visitor numbers, to help them make objective decisions: “Should we make this temporary cycle path permanent? Should we modulate the number of visitors to preserve this protected natural areas?”

For 20 years, we've been offering connected solutions for pedestrian and cyclist counting in urban and natural environments. Solutions that range from sensors installed on bike paths and hiking trails to data interpretation software. Because counting is good, but giving meaning to numbers is even better!

Job requirements

Responsibilities

 

  • Complete the detection of data anomalies and the interpolation of missing data using existing Eco-Counter tools

  • Analyze data on bicycles and pedestrians and create customized reports for customers.

  • Develop expert knowledge of the Eco-Counter data, analysis platform and internal tools.

  • Contribute creatively to the overall efficiency of Eco-Counter

 

Particular requirements of the position

 

  • University degree and/or relevant experience

  • Experience in time series data analysis

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 

  • Strong written and oral skills in French and English

  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts

  • Interest in learning new skills and software

  • Great motivation and willingness to learn

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines and multiple projects

  • Interest in creative problem solving and process improvement in operations

  • Active listening to the needs of others and ability to identify opportunities

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

 

Desired skills and experiences

  • Strong interest in healthy alternative transportation, parks, trails and cities

  • Experience in the field of transport: engineering, planning, geography, etc.

  • Experience with Python and/or R programming languages
